STAMPtember® Collaboration:  Honey Bee Stamps

Sending Autumn Blessings
09/07/2024

Hello everyone!

Today’s Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember®! Collaboration is from Honey Bee Stamps!

This is a gorgeous fall harvest stamp set that I thought would be perfect for a little coloring.  I chose to make a single layer card today using the cluster of pumpkins in the set.  I stamped the pumpkins using Copic-friendly ink on Copic cardstock (all supplies linked below) and colored it in with my Copic markers.  I then used a rectangle mask to add an ink-blended frame for the card. A sentiment and a few gems finished it off beautifully.

I hope you’re able to get this set for yourself today (remember:  supplies are limited and will not be restocked)!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

      Thank you!

Did you mask over the stamp so that the blending did not interfere with the coloring?

    • Jean Doeringsfeld

Hi Jill, I did not mask it but I did use a very small blending brush so that I had a lot of control over where the ink went. You certainly could mask it, though. That might be an easier way to do it than what I did.

      Thank you, Bonnie!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
