Hi everyone!

Today I’m sharing a clean and simple card I made using products from the new Timeless collection at Spellbinders!

I love the simplicity and classic feel of this card – and it took only a few products to complete.  I didn’t add a sentiment because I felt like anything more would detract from the design but depending on how you wanted to change things up, I think it would be fairly easy to add one.

Here is a quick video of the reveal of this card:

To make this card:

  1. Die cut one of the scrolls from the timeless duo 6 times out of white cardstock.
  2. Glue 3 of the diecuts together for one scroll and 3 for the other.
  3. Place the scrolls on your card front  to determine spacing and use a pencil to mark where you want the ink-blended background.
  4. Use a ruler and a pencil to lightly mark the area.
  5. Use Post-it tape to mark off the top and bottom of the card along your pencil lines.
  6. Ink blend in the untaped area to create a stripe of color across your card front, then erase your pencil marks.
  7. Adhere your scrolls to your card front using liquid glue.
  8. Add your butterfly sticker to the middle of the strip and centered on the scrolls.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.  I hope you enjoyed this project and that it inspires you to create something timeless, too.

I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!

Your butterfly card is gorgeous. I love shinny blue envelope too. Thank for making the video so we can see all the dimension, shimmer and shine.

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
