Waffle Flower Sneak Peek Kit #11

A Rose for Love
11/20/2023

Hi everyone!

It’s time for another Waffle Flower Link Party!  This month’s party – and my card today – feature products from Sneak Peek Club #11!

In case you hadn’t heard, the Sneak Peek Club provides Club Members with a super fun monthly kit of Waffle Flower products.  Members get the products about a month earlier than they are released to everyone else!  So, if you’re interested in being a Club Member, you can sign up here:  Club

Once again, Waffle Flower is generously providing a GIVEAWAY* to one of my blog readers (that would be YOU) if you comment on this blog post by November 26th, 2023.  The GIVEAWAY* is Kit #11 – the same kit I used to make my card for today!  Winners are picked at random and will be announced on Waffle Flower’s Link Party post

*the GIVEAWAY can only be shipped to the US.

This kit includes the gorgeous Postage Collage Rose stencil!  I thought I’d provide some inspiration using the stencil to create a focal image rather than in a collage.  I like to be able to stretch my supplies and to use them in ways other they may have been originally intended.

If you know me, you know that I have a clean and simple style to my designs so for this card, I decided to take one of the images from the collage stencil and use it as the focus for my card – keeping the rest of the card very simple.  I ink blended the single rose stem and die cut with a stitched rectangle die.  I paired it with the script “love” from the Print & Script With Love die set that also comes in the kit.  I used a textured red cardstock and a bit of red ribbon to really highlight the rose.

This project was so much fun and I love how it turned out! I hope it inspires you to look at your supplies and find unique ways to use them.

I really appreciate you stopping by my blog today and I hope you’re following along with the Link Party for even more inspiration.  Pssst: you’ll have more chances to win the GIVEAWAY if you visit and comment on their blogs too!

Have a wonderfully creative day!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
