Strawberry Margarita, Anyone?

Hi there!

My card today merges several of my favorite things:  tropical flowers, monstera leaves, and strawberry margaritas!

This card was so much fun to make! I pulled out some of my favorite dies from Simon Says Stamp, did some ink blending, and then spent a little time figuring out the best layout.  It was quick and easy – and I just love how it turned out! 

The flowers on this card are poppies from the Iceland Poppies die set (I made this card with this same die set a few weeks ago).  Traditionally , poppies are not a tropical thing, I know, but I think anything can be made tropical if you make it bright pink.  At least that’s the story I’m going with!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.
