Hocus Pocus and a Pop of Sass

2025 Simon Says Stamp FALL AND HALLOWEEN Dies that coordinate with Tim Holtz Stamps
08/27/2025

Hi there!

We’re nearing the end of the series, and Card #6 is here to stir the potion! This design brings us back to the Tim Holtz Halloween Doodles stamp set and the new coordinating dies from Simon Says. This time I paired those quirky little images with bold color and a sentiment that totally cracks me up: “I’m just here for the boos.”🍷👻

I kept the layout clean with crisp white space and stitched detailing, but added punchy stripes in Halloween hues behind the central panel to pull everything together. The witch hats, bottle, and mushrooms are colored up with bold contrast and just enough sparkle to conjure some magic.

Design Highlights:
🧪 Halloween Doodles Icons – The witch hat, bottle, and mushrooms are a perfect cluster of spooky fun.
🖤 “Here for the Boos” Sentiment – A cheeky saying that brings all the spooky sass.
💜 Bold Stripes – Strips of red, purple, lime, and black add fun Halloween flair behind the focal panel.
✨ Pops of Shine – Scattered black sequins add a magical little twinkle.
📏 Clean Framing – A stitched panel grounds everything and lets the colors shine.

This card was pure fun to put together—quick, colorful, and a little bit cheeky. Stay tuned for Card #7… we’re going out with a BOO! 👻

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
