It’s almost Valentine’s Day so today I’m sharing the cute little airplane card I made for my husband, who happens to be a pilot!

Normally, I struggle a bit with masculine cards, so I always fall back to one of three things:

1) the obvious (like the airplane for the pilot),
2) something with food (everyone likes food), and/or
3) something with a pun (I love puns).

This card covers 2 of the 3!

To make this card, I started out by die cutting the little contrail of hearts out of a panel of white cardstock and backing it with a piece of red cardstock so that the hearts would show through.

Once that was ready, I stamped the airplane in Gina K Amalgam Obsidian ink on a separate piece of white cardstock. For the coloring, I used my Copic markers and chose some more masculine colors – green, orange, and brown. I die cut the airplane and added some Glossy Accents to the propeller and the wings. While the Glossy Accents was drying, I stamped my sentiment in Gina K Dark Chocolate ink onto the panel with the heart contrail. I added foam adhesive to the back and popped it up on my card front.

Once the Glossy Accents was dry, I added some foam tape to the back of the airplane and adhered it to the card front. Ta Da! Super easy, and I know my husband will love it! Hope you have a wonderfully creative day!
