Down on Your Luck + Blog Hop!

Simon Says Stamp | To Be Loved Release
01/10/2025

Hi there!

Today I’m participating in a Blog Hop for TWO Simon Says Stamp releases: “To Love” and “To Be Loved”! If you’re following along on the hop you probably got here from Tina Smith’s blog – but if not, you can start from the top at the Simon Says Stamp Blog!

From now until 1/12 at 11:59 pm EST you can get a super fun Circle Hoops embossing folder FREE with the purchase of $50 from either release. The details are in the graphic below!

Be sure to leave a comment below (and at each stop on the hop) because Simon is giving away a $25 coupon to one commenter on each blog!  Winners will be posted on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Wednesday, January 15th. If you’re a winner, just email Simon Says Stamp to claim your prize!

My card today features new products from the “To Be Loved” release, and is all about offering support during tough times.

While you could certainly use the “I’m Sorry” sentiment for an apology card, I realized that I often say “I’m Sorry” when someone is going through a hard time, too, so that’s the meaning I decided to use for this card.

I used some clever masking to show one of the leaves of the 4-leaf clover as falling away to represent times when we are down on our luck.   I kept the design simple in order to keep the focus on the sentiment.

Sometimes, a simple card is the perfect way to let someone know you’re there for them.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and for joining in on our Hop!  If you’re following along in order, your next stop will be Tracy Ware and I know you won’t want to miss it!  The full list of blogs on the hop today are:

When I saw the I’m sorry die, I too thought of apology; your thinking of it as a message of support for sickness or other not so pleasant even5 makes good sense. My our card is lovely.

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
